Rival Lens is a Chrome extension by Rank Secure. This policy explains exactly what it does with your data. The short version: it collects nothing.

Rival Lens turns any web page into an instant competitive breakdown. It was built so everything happens on your own machine, which is why this policy is short and there is very little to explain.
01 — DATA
No personal information, no browsing history, no page content ever leaves your browser.
02 — WHERE
Everything runs locally inside Chrome. No server ever receives anything.
03 — TRACKING
No analytics inside the extension. No account, no sign in, no cookies.
04 — ACCESS
Only activeTab and scripting, used once per click. Nothing runs in the background.
No personal information. No browsing history. No page content. No account, no sign in, no analytics inside the extension, and no server receiving anything. Everything happens inside your own browser.
When you click the Rival Lens icon, and only when you click it, the extension reads the page currently open in your active tab. It looks at publicly visible information on that page:
That information is processed entirely inside your browser to produce the summary you see. It is never sent to Rank Secure, never sent to any third party, and is discarded the moment you close the popup.
On click only
Lets the extension read the page you are looking at, at the moment you click the icon. It grants no access before you click, no access to any other tab, and no access in the background.
Read only
Lets the extension run one read-only analysis function inside that page to gather the information above. The function ships inside the extension, runs once per click, and changes nothing on the page.
These are the only two permissions Rival Lens requests. We deliberately did not ask for access to all websites, because the extension does not need it.
Rival Lens provides links to the public advertising transparency libraries operated by Google, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok, and to the Rank Secure website. Opening one of those links takes you to that service, where their own privacy policy applies.
Rival Lens does not send those services any information about you. It simply opens a search page for the company whose site you were viewing.

Rival Lens is a business tool for marketing professionals and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised date. Material changes will also be reflected in the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing.
