Privacy Policy
Cardkeep is a business card scanner for iPhone. This policy explains what it does with your information. The short version: it does not send anything anywhere.

Cardkeep was built so that everything happens on your own phone. There is no account, no server and no network connection, which is why this policy is short and there is very little to explain.
Zero Data Collected
No personal information, no card images and no contact details ever leave your device.
100% On Device
Cards are read by Apple’s built-in Vision framework, which also runs entirely on your iPhone.
No Connection
The app makes no network requests of any kind. It works identically with wifi switched off.
Two Permissions
Camera while you scan, and Contacts only when you tap Add to Contacts. Nothing else.
We Collect Nothing
No personal information. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers and no third-party tracking software. There is no account to create, nothing to sign in to, and no server that receives your information, because there is no server at all.
What happens to the cards you scan
When you photograph a business card, the image is read on your device using Apple’s built-in Vision text recognition, which is part of iOS. The details it finds are shown to you for review and then stored in the app’s local storage on your iPhone.

Camera
Cardkeep uses the camera only while you are actively scanning a card, and only to capture the image being read. It has no access to your photo library and does not save photographs to it.
Contacts
Cardkeep asks for permission to access your contacts only at the moment you tap Add to Contacts, and uses it solely to write the one contact you asked it to create. It does not read, upload or analyse the contacts already on your device.
Exporting your data
You can export your saved cards as a CSV or vCard file at any time. Exports go through the standard iOS share sheet, which means you choose the destination. Cardkeep does not send the file anywhere on its own and has no visibility into where you send it.
Deleting your data
Deleting a card inside the app removes it from your device. Deleting the app removes all of its stored data. Since nothing is held anywhere else, that is the whole of it. There is no account for us to erase and no request you need to make of us.
Children
Cardkeep is a business utility and is not directed at children. It collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Cardkeep ever collects data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
